Direct message the job poster from The Nagler Group Overview Sr. Manager / Director of People & Culture — As the Sr. Manager/Director of People & Culture, you will be both the strategic architect and the hands-on driver of the company’s people function. This is a unique opportunity to own and shape HR at a growing small-to-mid-sized organization, where your impact will be visible every day. You will design and implement HR programs that strengthen culture, drive performance, and support employee growth, while also rolling up your sleeves to manage day-to-day HR operations. Leading a team of 2–3, you’ll have the chance to build scalable people practices, influence leadership decisions, and champion initiatives across talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, and compliance. We’re looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking HR leader who thrives in a player/coach environment — someone who can balance strategy with execution, bring fresh ideas, and foster a culture where employees feel supported, engaged, and set up for success. Responsibilities Develop and implement HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with company goals and culture. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing guidance on talent, organizational design, and employee engagement. Lead and manage a small HR team (2–3), fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Own and execute recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent. Partner with hiring managers to anticipate workforce needs and build strong pipelines. Lead talent management and succession planning, ensuring clear growth and development paths. Design and manage performance management programs that drive accountability and growth. Lead employee engagement and recognition initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive culture. Oversee employee relations with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Implement and manage policies, procedures, and practices that ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. Administer benefits, compensation, and leave programs in alignment with company goals. Maintain and optimize HR systems (HRIS, ATS) to support a scalable, data-informed HR function. Manage vendor relationships, HR budget, and tools to maximize value and effectiveness. Qualifications 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a management role. Strong generalist background with expertise in performance management, employee engagement, and policy implementation. Proven track record in talent acquisition and building high-performing teams. Experience in small-to-mid-market companies preferred; creative industry (agency, PR, marketing, etc.) experience a plus but not required. Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using HRIS and ATS platforms. Strong business acumen and ability to partner with executives and managers on people and culture initiatives. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with high emotional intelligence. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
