The candidate will be assisting with a wide variety of services, industries, and situations, including:Valuation AnalysesFinancial ModelingOther Financial and Economic EngagementsThe position is in a dynamic, fast-paced and growing Consulting Department. The ideal candidate will have the desire to contribute immediately to the continued growth of a premier regional Consulting practice. The position will require excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and will require the analyst to work on multiple projects at any one time.Major ResponsibilitiesLead valuation engagements in a wide variety of industries for the following purposes: financial reporting purposes (ASC 805/ASC 350), 409A/ASC 718 (stock based compensation), gift and estate tax, management planning, litigation support, and/or M&ABuild, maintain, and enhance client relationshipsOversee day-to-day activities of the practice, including managing and mentoring less experienced team members and peersAssume responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverablesPerform and manage the reviews of third party valuations for audit support purposesPreferred Experience/Background/SkillsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Finance, or EconomicsCFA, CPA/ABV, or ASA designation, or progress towards one of the designations with plans to fully obtain within 12 months of hire dateMinimum 5 years of recent financial advisory and valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of an audit, tax, and advisory firmSignificant experience with the valuations of businesses, intangible assets, purchase price allocations, and financial analysis and researchExcellent leadership potentialStrong analytical and quantitative skills in the areas of Finance and AccountingGood understanding of financial markets expectedDemonstrated experience in managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships, with a focus on providing superior client serviceWell organized, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure to meet challenging client requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHave the ability to effectively use technologyTeam playerProficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required)Strict adherence to professional ethicsWorking ConditionsCore working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with minimum of 3 days per week working in the office.Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectationsTravel for this position may be required, but is not anticipated to be more than 10%Ability to sit for long periods of timeAbility to move throughout officeAbility to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 poundsAbility to effectively communicateOne FirmTo foster a highly respected, inclusive culture that helps foster and promote an environment that is diverse and equitable for all team members and the firm to achieve growth and deepened expertise.
