We uphold a strong moral code centered on service and integrity, motivated by responsibility and servant leadership.Job DescriptionContract Drafting and ReviewDraft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including transportation agreements, warehousing contracts, service agreements, and vendor contracts.Ensure contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations and align with the company's best interests.Risk ManagementIdentify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate them.Develop strategies to protect the company's interests and minimize legal exposure.Regulatory ComplianceStay updated on federal, state, and local regulations related to logistics, transportation, and warehouse management.Provide guidance to ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations such as DOT, FMCSA, OSRA, among others.Legal ResearchConduct legal research on evolving legal trends and industry issues.Translate legal findings into actionable recommendations for the company.Dispute ResolutionAssist in resolving disputes, including contract disputes, claims, and litigation.Collaborate with outside counsel when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned or needed, including working across time zones and cultures, and supporting ad-hoc or special projects.Salary: $110,000 - $150,000QualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California.At least 4 years of legal practice, including a minimum of 1 year in logistics, transportation, and warehouse management-related transactions.Knowledge of industry-specific regulations such as DOT, FMCSA, OSRA, and logistics and warehousing contracts.Experience with various transportation modes (e.g., truckload, flatbed, LTL, railroad, ocean, import/export).Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle multiple demands.Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Exceptional attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal contract management tools.Physical Demands:Ability to talk and hear while performing job duties.Ability to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.Dexterity to write and operate a computer keyboard and mouse.Ability to multitask and solve complex issues in a fast-paced environment.Occasional lifting of office materials up to 20 pounds.Additional InformationAll information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
