Together, we do great things.Who You Are:As Senior Corporate Counsel, you are a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in construction, project development, and energy procurement. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a strategic mindset to complex legal matters. With a strong background in large-scale construction or power projects, you’re adept at navigating and negotiating high-impact contracts. You’re collaborative, solutions-oriented, and ready to support cross-functional teams across development and other business units.What You Will Do:Oversee legal aspects of the company’s construction and procurement contracting terms and process; work with the company’s Development team in negotiating and managing construction contractsAdvise on regulatory, health and environmental matters regarding development projectsNegotiate and work with the company’s contractors and utility providersNegotiate and structure project-related documents, including vendor / supply agreements, O&M agreements, and other similar agreementsSupport project financing transactionsAssisting with a variety of other legal matters such as regulatory matters, permitting, environmental, due diligence and real estate, as well as various other transactional matters and agreements as neededWorking with and managing outside counsel, partners, customers, counterparties and other third parties, as neededPerforming a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as may be assigned by the General CounselWhat You Will Need to be Successful :J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentialsAdmission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of ColumbiaFive or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practiceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Hands-on, self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting that requires a highly accurate and timely work productAgile and versatile; comfortable with new and unfamiliar subject matter; easily adaptable to changeAble to maintain a high degree of confidentialityEnterprising and entrepreneurialAble to take initiative with no directionStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong listening, organizational, and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and accountability to deadlinesAbility to work in a fast-paced and evolving business environmentProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Box, Workday, DocuSignExcellent analytical, time-management, judgment and decision-making skillsPossess ambition and an optimistic attitudeAbility to effectively multitask and manage competing priorities and demands on timeStrong problem-solving and negotiation skillsAble to effectively manage complicated legal and business issuesAbility to effectively manage others, including outside counsel and service providersTotal Rewards:QRest Sabbatical Employee Stock PurchaseQTS scholarship for dependentsEagle Club award trip eligibilityPaid volunteer days Tuition assistance, parental leave and military leave assistanceWe conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
