Job Overview:A highly regarded law firm is actively seeking an experienced Employment Attorney with a strong background in employee benefits law and ERISA. This role focuses on advising clients across a broad range of benefits-related legal issues including plan compliance, executive compensation, healthcare reform, and fiduciary risk management. The position is suited for an attorney who is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex matters independently or as part of a collaborative legal team.Location:Newark, NJDuties:Advise clients on the design, administration, and compliance of qualified retirement plansProvide legal counsel on executive compensation matters and Section 409A complianceAddress legal issues related to health and welfare plans and the Affordable Care ActDraft and review benefit plan documents and related materialsGuide clients on fringe benefits and fiduciary responsibilities under ERISAHandle ERISA-related claims and dispute resolution mattersRepresent clients during governmental audits and investigations by the IRS, DOL, or other agenciesProvide support on employee benefits matters in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitionsRequirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in employee benefits and ERISA lawProven ability to navigate complex federal statutes and regulations impacting benefits plansExperience managing client relationships and working on multidisciplinary legal teamsStrong organizational and time management skillsEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active membership in at least one U.S. state barAdmission to the bar in the relevant office jurisdiction preferred or willingness to become admittedSkills:Deep understanding of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAAStrong drafting, research, and analytical skillsAbility to interpret and communicate complex regulatory information clearlyHigh level of professional judgment and ethical standardsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCompetitive compensation package based on experience401(k) or other retirement savings planPaid time off and firm holidaysContinuing legal education and professional development supportFlexible or hybrid work arrangementsCompany infoBCG Attorney Search125 Park Avenue, 25th floorNew YorkNew YorkUnited States 10017Phone : (212) 232-0277Fax : (213) 895-7306 #J-18808-Ljbffr
