Then you are in the right place…start the application process today!Summary of Position FunctionsThe Project Manager I – Energy Consulting will manage multiple commissioning, energy efficiency, and retro-commissioning projects simultaneously. You will oversee all aspects of projects including technical work, scheduling, budget management, and client relationship management. Responsibilities include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring project progress, and preparing reports for management. The role requires a commitment to high customer service levels throughout all project phases, from initial contact to project closeout.Essential Position FunctionsManage commissioning, energy consulting, and engineering projects.Oversee all project aspects including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.Coordinate and lead project meetings with clients.Prepare reports on project status for upper management.Manage diverse teams to complete contracted work.Conduct capacity planning and compile related reports.Develop project deliverables, including reports, performance tests, and plans.Ensure quality and contractual compliance through final deliverables QC.Conduct site assessments and review systems.Contribute to process improvements and develop technical training.Ensure timely delivery of reports and manage analysis and testing.Present results to customers and gather feedback.Lead project teams including internal staff and sub-consultants.Handle invoicing, contracts, and documentation for public clients.Coordinate with finance on collections and receivables.Assist with business development and proposals.Note: The list of responsibilities is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as needed.Non-Essential Position FunctionsOther duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone at this time.Education and QualificationsCandidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience. A master’s degree is preferred. Relevant experience includes understanding HVAC systems, energy efficiency, and energy modeling, with 1-3 years in building commissioning or related fields.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of Veregy’s services and processes.Proficiency with MS Office and understanding of building systems.Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.Ability to analyze technical and financial data and produce reports.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsEIT license, PE license or working toward PE, and commissioning certification (BCxP, CCP, or equivalent) are preferred.Travel RequiredMust be able to travel at least 25%, primarily within California and occasionally across the U.S.BenefitsCompetitive compensation, health plans, 401k with matching, life insurance, and other benefits.Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.
