Prime Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer.Job Description: Assistant General Counsel – EmploymentThis position requires a seasoned employment attorney with extensive experience in both litigation and counseling. The attorney will work closely with corporate and local leadership across the Prime Healthcare system.Key Responsibilities:• Manage the company’s high volume of employment lawsuits.• Provide strategic guidance to key stakeholders on employment issues.• Handle wrongful termination claims, wage and hour class actions, PAGA claims, and discrimination claims.Required Qualifications:• J.D. from ABA Accredited Law School.• Member in Good Standing of the State Bar of California.• Minimum of seven (7) years of prior legal experience in law firm, public sector, and/or in-house position.• Must have trial or arbitration hearing experience, preferably with some experience as first chair.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with hospitals.Prime Healthcare offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and more. The estimated annual compensation range for this role is $153,753.60 to $249,600.00.
