OverviewLabor and Employment Attorney - 1600 hours. I am working with a firm in El Segundo, CA that is growing and looking to add a Labor and Employment Attorney to their practice. A successful candidate is someone who brings experience with litigation and advice/counsel. A majority of the team does work on-site, but they understand that people may reside outside of the El Segundo area. They would like their teammate to be in office three days per week to collaborate. The managing partners are all X-Big Law, and they value work/life balance. They ask for 1600 billable hours; if you bill more than that, you will be paid a bonus per each hour billed. They also offer discretionary bonuses. The firm has low turnover and a majority of the team has worked together for 10+ years.ResponsibilitiesWorking with partners handling labor and employment litigation and advice/counselMaintain 1600 hours with hourly bonuses and discretionary bonusesHybrid schedule: ideally three days in office per week and two days remoteMaintain a laid-back in-office culture; ability to leave early for personal commitments without micromanagementQualificationsOne year of insurance defense litigation experienceHealth, monthly marketing allowance, MCLEs, parking, bar dues, and percentage originationsGraduated from law school in 2022 or beforeJD from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmitted to the California Bar in good standingCompensation & BenefitsBase pay range: $175,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr. Compensation will depend on a combination of education and experience. Full benefits and a bonus structure are in place.
