To be successful in this role, you'll need to excel in four key areas:Project Management: Lead a complex program area to produce high-quality results based on contractual requirements, balancing a healthy timeline, budget, and team environmentClient Relationship Management: Build trusting relationships with clients to align solutions with their needs, establish a collaborative team culture, and cultivate longer-term opportunities for new businessSubject-Matter Expertise: Provide expert-level Federal emergency management and training insights to enhance service quality and create compelling solutions for FEMALeadership and Culture: Manage a team of 20+ people from CONSTANT and multiple partner companies; mentor project team members by setting clear expectations, providing key tools, and ensuring 360-degree feedback that is timely, candid, and supportiveEvery CONSTANT team member is expected to proactively contribute to our positive and collaborative culture by upholding our core values of integrity, service, quality, team, and gratitude.Must-Have QualificationsBachelor's degree12+ years of progressive consulting, emergency management, and/or professional service delivery experience; a Master's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience3+ years of experience managing peopleDisaster response experience with FEMA or another emergency management agency; familiarity with the FEMA Qualification SystemDemonstrated success managing projects, including budgets, risk mitigation, resource allocation, QA/QC, and effective delegationExcellent communication, writing, large group presentation, and facilitation skillsTraining / instructional systems design experienceProficiency in MS 365 suiteAbility to commute to the client site in Washington, DC when needed; primary job location will be flexibleAbility to travel approximately 20%, if neededAbility to pass Federal background investigationsNice-To-Have QualificationsExperience managing people who manage othersFluency with eLearning toolsSuccess leading experts in technology development and implementing technology solutions across a large teamProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationCertified Emergency Manager (CEM) certificationWhat We OfferMeaningful work on a high-performing teamOpportunities to grow with a rapidly expanding companyWelcoming, collaborative, and flexible work environmentComprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, bonuses based on company and individual performance, and flexible paid time offCONSTANT is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals.
