Job DescriptionGreat opportunity to become part of FitzGerald Law Company, a boutique Boston firm specializing in immigration law and criminal defense litigation. We are seeking an attorney licensed to practice in Massachusetts, fluent in Spanish, preferably with three or more years of immigration experience. Our services cover all areas of immigration, including family and employment-based residency, non-immigrant visas, citizenship, asylum, cancellation of removal, I-601 waivers, TPS, writ of mandamus, immigration issues related to criminal charges, and appeals.Our office offers a friendly and supportive environment, a dedicated team, a varied caseload, and opportunities for significant courtroom experience, handling complex cases, and professional mentorship. Our practice focuses on delivering excellent, personalized results for our clients.This role provides a chance to assist individuals from diverse backgrounds needing legal representation.Responsibilities include:Meeting with potential clients for consultations and managing documentation for retentionManaging large caseloads independently using practice management software (MyCase and Docketwise)Maintaining detailed records of client communications, documents, notes, and case timesheetsRepresenting clients in immigration and criminal matters before USCIS, EOIR, and Immigration CourtPreparing immigration petitions and tracking case deadlinesGuiding paralegals on case work, reviewing progress, and strategizingConducting legal research and preparing appeals, motions, briefs, and petitions for administrative and federal courtsPreparing clients for interviews and court appearancesDrafting I-601A waivers and other inadmissibility waiversKeeping clients informed of case progress and maintaining communication recordsCollaborating with the principal attorney on case strategies and participating in status meetingsRequirements:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detailStrong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlinesGood judgment and prioritization skillsInterpersonal and client service skillsTeamwork and willingness to learnExperience supervising and training legal staffPassion for helping people in difficult circumstancesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAt least three years of immigration legal experiencePlease specify your level of Spanish fluency in your cover letter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
