There’s no one like you and that’s why there’s nowhere like RSM.RSM is looking for a Director to join our Accounting and Finance Consulting (AFC) practice with a focus in public company transactions, including IPOs and public company M&A. Our clients include firms in a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, life sciences, and manufacturing, among others. We serve clients with local, national or international presence and diverse organizational structures, developing meaningful solutions for your business.ResponsibilitiesManage multiple concurrent engagements within the AFC practice to provide technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to clientsDemonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of complex accounting conceptsProvide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverablesCollaborate directly with firm specialists/subject matter experts on complex accounting mattersAssist in the preparation of technical memos and other client deliverablesManage AFC engagements and the engagement teamsOversee engagement economics and manage appropriate resources for efficient engagement modelsAnticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise; identify performance improvement opportunitiesUnderstand RSM’s service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service deliveryDevelop others within the AFC practice through mentoring, training and advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiativesUnderstand RSM’s lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firmDevelop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growthSubscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicableEnsure professional development through ongoing educationWillingness to travel 30% or less of the year, depending on your clientsRequired QualificationsBS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree7+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting or SEC financial reporting capacityExcellent team and project management skillsAdvanced written and verbal communication skillsProficient in US GAAP and Regulation S-XA proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationshipsA successful record of directing and deploying staff senior associates/supervisors, managers on multiple, simultaneous engagementsPreferred QualificationsPCAOB audit experienceFamiliarity with COSO internal control integrated frameworkExperience in leading project teams related to large or complex transactions like IPOs, reverse mergers, or carve-outsCPA or equivalent certificationBenefits and Other InformationAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
