Be among the first 25 applicants 1 day ago Job title and location Senior Corporate Counsel – hybrid in Charlotte, NC The Senior Corporate Counsel will be responsible for advising the Company in a wide variety of legal matters. This person will be a generalist. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive, “can do” attitude and high ethical standards who will take a proactive approach to addressing issues as they arise. You will partner with various internal departments to provide guidance and liaise with external parties and be responsible for supervising one direct report. Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Mount Kemble Search Group Responsibilities Advise on local, state, and federal regulatory and compliance matters that impact business, including in the areas of data privacy and security, food safety, trademarks, environmental law, and the sale of age-restricted products. Independently review and negotiate select commercial contracts and areas of regulatory focus. Provide timely advice and guide and assist internal business clients through complex legal situations. Manage Company litigation matters and engage, oversee, and direct outside counsel. Handle special projects assigned, including but not limited to creation, review, and updating of company policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure regulatory compliance. Responsible for internal and external communication and active follow-up as necessary. Qualifications Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school Admission to Massachusetts, North Carolina, or other state bar 7-10+ years of relevant corporate counsel experience, including prior in-house experience Experience in food services, grocery, convenience or retail industries Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize a time sensitive workload Must be able to work within a small team, as necessary Self-motivated to work independently in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Occasional travel may be required Physical Requirements Minimal physical effort required, sitting/standing at computer for long periods. Ability to maneuver and lift up to 10 lbs.
