Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Job DutiesBuild advanced/cutting edge solutions into the home care agency management workflowDevelop services for back-end and interoperability support across disparate application environmentsArchitect solutions and work with a team of fellow engineers to make them come to lifeDesign, implement, and maintain APIs and microservices to support robust, scalable functionality and interoperability with other platforms (e.g. SharePoint, NetSmart, HL7, FHIR)Support and improve existing services, advancing the application security and capabilitiesPromote a culture of curiosity and problem-solving in the workplaceAssess incoming work requirements for level of effort and successfully manage timelines for successful, on-time deploymentsCollaborate closely with fellow developers, product managers, designers and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and achieve team goalsBuild secure health-data solutions, participate in security audits and remediationsConduct code reviews, providing feedback to improve team efficiency and maintain quality coding standardsMentor fellow software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellenceWrite and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure consistent software qualityOther Job DutiesOther duties, as assigned by supervisor or HHAeXchange leadership.Travel RequirementsTravel up to 10%, including overnight travelRequired Education, Experience, Certifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in software engineering roles, developing modern architecture and frameworksExperience with back-end development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, etc.Proficiency with Spring Boot, Gradle, Docker, KubernetesExperience with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgresStrong problem-solving skills in collaborative environmentsStrong understanding of RESTful interfacesFamiliarity with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, or SnowflakeCI/CD experience using GitHub or similar toolsETL/interoperability experience, particularly managing integrations across systemsFamiliarity with local LLM technologies such as Mistral and open-source AI solutions is a plusFamiliarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence is a plusIntellectually curious and committed to continuous learning across frontend, backend, cloud, architecture, and DevOpsOwnership mentality with a commitment to quality and impactComfortable with ambiguity and eager to be part of a dynamic, ever-evolving teamSalary and BenefitsThe base salary range for this US-based, full-time, and exempt position is $122,000-140,000/yr not including variable compensation. An employee’s exact starting salary will be based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, merit, location, and the ability to exemplify the HHAeXchange core values.This is a benefits-eligible position.
