Materials Analyst role at Motion RecruitmentAn American electric vehicle manufacturing company is actively looking for a Materials Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is a 6-month CT role with potential for conversion. It is 100% onsite at their Normal, Illinois location, Monday-Friday.OverviewThe Prototype Material Planner is responsible to ensure ‘on-time’ delivery of launch/trial parts from suppliers, to include daily monitoring of shipping performance as well as delivery verification in support of our pre-series development builds. In this role within Launch, you will issue demand forecasts for pre-series production materials and shall provide clear status as to the availability of material, you’ll manage the change communication to the supply chain for material demand, resolving planning challenges and supply chain constraints. Development builds are the foundation for a program and you shall work cross-functionally to ensure their success. You will strive to become an expert in the supply chain for your given commodities and provide planning solutions which set programs up for success.ResponsibilitiesEnsure on-time delivery of launch/trial parts from suppliers and monitor shipping performance and delivery verification for pre-series development builds.Issue demand forecasts for pre-series production materials; provide clear status on material availability.Manage change communications to the supply chain for material demand; resolve planning challenges and supply chain constraints.Work cross-functionally to support development builds and strive to become an expert in the supply chain for assigned commodities.Provide planning solutions to set programs up for success.QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of material control, inventory control and related logistics activity is required.Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and multitasking skills with ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.Working knowledge in SAP preferred and strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook programs knowledge.Flexibility to think strategically and act tactically.Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.Posted By: VMS Sourcing #J-18808-Ljbffr
