Our facilities are part of the Global Lighthouse Network for advanced 4IR innovations and Sustainability Lighthouses for breakthroughs in efficient operations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop the future generation of 3D NAND flash.Contribute to defining new device architectures, scaling paths, process improvement and novel device operating strategies for cutting-edge memory technologies.Develop new device types, design and process architectures involving novel materials, structures and operating algorithms to deliver leadership in performance, reliability, power and cost.Understand existing technology limitations from first principles and create innovative ideas to solve problems.QualificationsPhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related field. New or recent graduates with availability to start in July 2026 or -depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics and/or nano-electronics.Ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.Good problem-solving skills with strong analytical foundations and creativity.Willingness to solve new problems outside your domain.Familiarity with coding languages (Python, Perl) and statistical analysis software (e.g., Spotfire, Jump) is an advantage.Knowledge of non-volatile memory and/or emerging memory is a plus.Preferred SkillsExcellent writing, editing, communication and presentation skills.Detail-oriented and organized.Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage deadlines across projects.Additional InformationSandisk is committed to equal opportunity and will not discriminate based on race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, medical condition, marital status, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
