Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yrThe Senior Director, Human Resources creates an environment that responds quickly to employee concerns, proactively engages employees in problem solving and works with management to create a healthy work place. Coordinates policy and directs human resources activities such as employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and employee services for the retail locations. Works with Corporate HR Team to deploy consistent HR practices for the retail locations. Acts as a strong employee advocate at all times. Ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations. Develops and implements human resource strategies which support business goals, develops individual effectiveness and builds organizational capability.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPartners with management to identify and prepare staffing forecast and ensure staffing needs and appropriate training is affordedInterpret policies and procedures to ensure St. John management teams are consistent with disciplinary action and overall decision making particularly in areas where state or international regulations provide distinct guidelinesOversight and leadership of HR team membersDirects management in developing complete employee relations practices and creating a positive work environment, in order to create a satisfied workforce where there is low turnoverAbility to contribute to HR Leadership vision as well as translate that vision into strategies and tacticsDirects and ensures that proper investigations are completed when complaints surfaceDetermines training needs and develops a training plan that supports the culture and philosophy of the divisionOversee staffing plans to ensure proper staffing is in place for the stores to meet service goalsActively involved in the interviewing process of new retail employeesFacilitate people and organization review/succession planning process for the storesADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and managementDemonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearanceAdheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety RegulationsAdheres to local, state and federal lawsAdditional responsibilities assigned by supervisor related to your position/departmentAbility to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessaryModel the “St. John Way”SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly manages Human Resources generalistProvides coaching, direction, develops and empowers direct reportsEnsures work flow and processes are to maximum efficiencies for business necessityORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSInteracts with all levels throughout organization including customers, employees, executives and outside vendorsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the PETENCIESProfessionalismClient FocusHonesty and IntegrityCommunicationStrategic AgilityBusiness AcumenLeadershipMotivatorTime ManagementThoroughnessResults OrientedPlanningDecision MakingNegotiatingSolutions OrientedEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEMinimum of 7 years of progressive HR generalist experience, plus retail experience requiredEmployee relations and employment law experience requiredExperience working with senior level company executivesKnowledge of Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel is requiredExperience with ADP WFNSeniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionHuman Resources, Strategy/Planning, and AdministrativeIndustriesRetail Luxury Goods and Jewelry, Retail Apparel and Fashion, and Online and Mail Order Retail #J-18808-Ljbffr
