OverviewInsight Global is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to support a client located in Chesapeake, VA. This position is responsible for the management of all financial and contractual matters for the company, playing a key role in strategic decision making.Base pay range$185,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yrThis range is provided by Insight Global. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the company’s financial and contractual management, maintaining compliance with FAR, DFARs, GAAP, and contract terms.Create and compile direct and indirect budgets, forecasts, and actual expenses.Manage annual accounting reviews, disclosures and reports with the Company’s accounting firm.Manage and oversee annual tax schedules with Company’s accounting firm, ensuring timely payment during the year.Oversee compliance the Company’s 401(k) plan.Maintain foreign entity registrations for locations outside of Virginia.Develop and monitor provisional indirect rates.Oversee the preparation, review, accuracy, and analysis of the company’s financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Review and approve in-house payroll and all associated payroll tax submissions.Lead all audits from external financial partners, as well as DCAA and DCMA.Ensure adequate internal controls are in place.Oversee Company’s purchasing system compliance.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Approve all prime and subcontract awards and modifications.Approve all cost proposals prior to submission.Maintain SAM and ITAR registrations.Ensure adequate coverage for all company insurance policies and renewals.Work with and support program managers and the Human Resources department in achieving company financial objectives, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.Manage the functionality of accounting software, Microsoft’s Business Central, including software updates, user setup, and processing transactions.Oversee daily operations and the performance of the finance department team members to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.Supervise and provide guidance to employees, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.Approve and monitor employee timesheets, ensuring accurate and timely submission for payroll processing.Manage team schedules, including approving time-off requests and ensuring adequate coverage during absences.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, performance, and any disciplinary actions taken.Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities RequiredBachelor’s degree, additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree.15 years of accounting experience7 years of managerial experience.5 years of government contracting experience.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Strong analytical skills.Strong leadership -depth knowledge of Excel.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines.Adaptable and flexible in shifting between multiple work tasks and responding to changing priorities.Must possess excellent organization and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dependent, forward, and analytical thinker, who provides solutions that align with company objectives.Ability to work independently and in a team is essential.Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central is desired.QualificationsActive DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired; however, candidates eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered.Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor or manager when not in the office.TravelThis position includes a low level of travel.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesTechnology, Information and MediaBenefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
