OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and business-oriented In-House Corporate Counsel to join our growing legal team. This is a high-impact role ideal for a highly motivated attorney with a strong legal background in commercial real estate law, lending, business and corporate transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate real estate and commercial agreements, including acquisition, financing, disposition and leasing of real property, construction contracts, and vendor agreementsProvide legal support across the full development life cycle, including acquisitions, entitlements, zoning, permitting, and financingManage due diligence processes for property and business matters, ensuring thorough legal risk assessmentStructure and maintain corporate entities for real estate holdings and advise on governance mattersSupport real estate finance and lending initiatives, including refinancing and lender negotiationsAdvise internal teams on employment, vendor, and operational agreements as neededPrepare and coordinate execution of corporate agreements, employment disputes and related itemsEnsure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to business, real estate, development, and investment activitiesOversee litigation, dispute resolution, and insurance-related claims in collaboration with outside counsel and in-house executivesPartner cross-functionally with executives, development, finance, and operations teams to align legal strategy with business goalsStay informed of legal and regulatory trends impacting the real estate and development sectorsQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Florida Bar in good standing2–4 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate law, ideally with exposure to in-house legal work at a real estate development firm, business firm or within a specialized law practice related to our missionStrong knowledge of real estate transactions, finance, regulatory compliance, zoning, land use, and corporate structureProven ability to draft and negotiate high-stakes legal agreementsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skillsBusiness-minded, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience managing public-private partnerships, construction law matters, or institutional real estate investmentsFamiliarity with multifamily housing development and related regulatory considerationsDemonstrated ability to assess legal risk while delivering practical, strategic business solutionsNoteThis document outlines the general nature and level of work expected from individuals in this role.
