The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal support and advice to various business units on a variety of legal issues, primarily focusing on technology, data and privacy complianceEnhance and partner with finance, operations and technology to oversee the Company’s PCI program, including developing training and monitoring programsProactively monitor, research, review and analyze U.S. laws, rules and regulations for complianceReview, draft and negotiate key internal and third-party agreements related to technology, balancing legal risk with business goalsWork with business teams to identify and implement legal strategies and help inform executive decision-makingCollaborate with other departments and cross-functional stakeholders to support business projectsSimplify complex legal issues for non-legal team members and serve as a trusted advisorPerform other duties and projects as assignedSkills4 to 7 years of legal practicing experience, with minimum of 18 months of in-house experience in a corporate law departmentJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, member in good standing of at least one state bar, and eligible to be registered as an in-house counsel with the State Bar of CaliforniaRelevant coursework, clinics, and internship/externship experience will be considered as wellPrevious GRC related experience in a law firm or in-house positionTechnology contract review and drafting experienceLegal research and writing experienceStrong organizational abilities and exceptional verbal and written communication skillsComfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceEducation: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law schoolCertifications Required: NA, prefer PCIP, CIPP/US or similar qualificationExperience Required: 4+ YearsThis position is pany: OC Sports & Entertainment, LLCOur CommitmentWe are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and team members without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, medical condition or any protected category prohibited by local, state or federal laws.
