Regional Vice President of Sales - San FranciscoAt Collective Health, we’re transforming how employers and their people engage with their health benefits by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology, compassionate service, and world-class user experience design.As a Regional Vice President of Sales at Collective Health, you will lead new business development for the Northern California region, successfully building and selling a strategic pipeline of opportunities to meet revenue goals. Key to this role will be developing and executing strategies to enhance Collective Health’s relationships with national consulting firms and carrier network partners.Utilizing your sales acumen and self-funded benefits knowledge, you will connect with prospective customers and their consultants/broker, guiding them through a consultative sales process focused on building trust, sharing best practices, and enabling them to provide the best healthcare experience to their employees. You will employ effective selling strategies to position Collective Health as an innovative alternative to traditional TPAs and other navigation solutionsThe ideal candidate is a highly respected and well-connected professional in the health insurance marketplace in San Francisco who is able to leverage their network to open doors and position Collective Health effectively with key decision-makers at large (750+ lives) and jumbo (5k+ lives) employers in the self-funded space.What You’ll Do:Lead new business sales development for self-funded employers, focused on creating and capitalizing on a strategic pipeline of opportunities to achieve revenue goalsBuild and maintain strong relationships with major consulting firms (e.g., Mercer, Aon, Gallagher, WTW, MMA, Lockton, Alliant, and others), as well as our other strategic partners (i.e., Anthem, Blue Shield) sharing ideas, industry insights, and new product innovationsServe as a partner to brokers, consultants, employers, medical networks, and other key decision-makers to improve employee health and wellness while managing healthcare costsDevelop and lead RFP strategies that highlight Collective Health’s offering as the best solution, based on a deep understanding of client needs and prioritiesSuccessfully predict and proactively address the needs, questions, and hurdles of prospective customersUse your industry knowledge of healthcare and benefits strategies, including regulations and trends, to create compelling proposalsWork with multiple stakeholders and navigate complex buying processesCollaborate with internal teams for a coordinated and effective sales approachMentor and learn from sales colleagues and team members across departmentsWhat You’ll Bring (Key Requirements):Passion for Mission: Dedicated to improving the healthcare experience in the US, aligned with Collective Health’s missionSeasoned Benefits Sales Leader: Has deep knowledge of health benefits and a proven ability to close new business by managing complex sales cycles and engaging with rapidly growing national accounts. Well-versed in both fully-insured and self-funded marketplacesEstablished Consultant & Broker Network: You should possess an extensive network of key contacts within national benefits consulting firms and brokeragesEntrepreneurial Mindset: Shows initiative, creativity, and a willingness to take risks, adapting easily and thinking beyond traditional methods in the healthcare marketChannel Relationship Management: Skilled in developing and managing relationships with brokers and consultants to drive significant sales outcomesCommunication: Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating expectations and building consensus among multiple stakeholdersInfluence and Presentation: Experienced in presenting to and successfully influencing senior leaders3-5 years of experience in insurance carrier and/or TPA salesProven ability to sell to national-sized groupsBachelor/'s degree requiredPay Transparency StatementThis is a hybrid position based out of our San Francisco office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybridThe actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
