OverviewTAX MANAGERPosition overview: We are looking for a Tax Manager that specializes in various aspects of partnership, S Corp and ultra-high net worth individual tax including entertainment, real estate and venture capital owned companies. In this position, you will work directly with clients, key decision makers and business owners across various industries and geographies. Employees are exposed to more diverse work, can advance more quickly, and will grow/learn in a work environment where firm politics and bureaucracy do not exist.ResponsibilitiesAt least 7 years of public accounting experience in a tax department (ideally in a large local or national CPA firm (large business management firm also ok))Strong Technical experience required in Partnership, S Corp and Complex Individual TaxMulti-State experience neededMust be able to prepare (25-30%) and review (70-75%) of assigned tax compliance workGood understanding of accounting - able to make corrections to client’s financial reports as part of tax return preparationManage IRS/FTB audits and correspondenceMulti-task in a fast-paced professional work environmentDetail oriented and have strong organizational and problem-solving skillsTeam-player, ability to teach others and good interpersonal skillsTech-savvy and able to resolve basic IT issues while working in a paperless environmentQualificationsCPA license requiredMasters of Taxation beneficialPrevious experience with CCH ProSystem FX Tax Software is preferredBenefitsWe offer an excellent compensation package, including a competitive base salary, bonuses, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) with match, continuing education & professional license renewals.
