This position oversees the administration of institutional, federal and state financial assistance, scholarship programs and the overall operation of a student focused department. The Director is responsible for developing financial aid and financial service strategies that support the College's enrollment and retention.ResponsibilitiesOversee the administration of institutional, federal and state financial aid programs, scholarship programs, and the overall operation of a student-focused financial aid department.Develop financial aid and financial service strategies that support the College’s enrollment and retention goals.Provide leadership and management within the Financial Aid Office, including supervision and staff development.QualificationsBachelor's degree required in Business Administration or related field.At least three years of progressive experience in a Financial Aid Office with at least one year in a senior financial management position.Jenzabar and PowerFaids experience preferred.Related work experience or a comparable combination of education/experience may be substituted for Financial Aid Office experience.Knowledge of current and future federal and state financial aid regulations, guidelines and trends; fundamental accounting and fiscal reporting procedures; database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software; and computer hardware.Strong organizational, supervisory, and managerial skills; effective oral and written communication; ability to interact with students, parents and colleagues.Notice of Non-DiscriminationTexas College does not discriminate in any employment practice, education program, or educational activity on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or veteran status.
