If you’re passionate about power systems and want to make a global impact, this is the opportunity for you.How You’ll Make an ImpactDesign and implement advanced power network applications for real-time control and analysisCollaborate with customers to understand needs and deliver tailored, high-performance solutionsSupport software releases and troubleshoot complex issues with expert-level insightContribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices and documentationStay ahead of the curve with ongoing research in power systems, optimization, and market operationsRepresent Hitachi Energy in customer meetings, industry events, and technical discussionsResponsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelinesYour BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in power network applications and control, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experienceStrong programming skills in C or FORTRAN and experience with Linux-based systemsSolid understanding of power systems modeling, power flow, contingency analysis, and optimization techniquesExperience developing software for electric utilities or electricity marketsFormal education in power systems optimization and data structures/databasesPh.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on deregulated electricity markets is a plusCandidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United StatesMore About UsWe pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
