Location: Brooklyn, New York (Field-Based / Hybrid)Work type: Full TimeSalary range: Total target compensation banding (OTE) for this Senior Manager level role ranges from $185,000 to $200,000 per annum. This includes a base salary and an uncapped, performance-based commission structure, with final compensation dependent on skills and experience.Reports to: Huw Birrell, Co-Founder, US CEO & Finance & Strategy DirectorRole OverviewWe’re seeking an ambitious and highly-driven Head of Sales to spearhead Fresho’s expansion into the US, based out of New York.This is our first in-market sales hire at the Senior Manager level - a critical and foundational role in gaining traction in a new region. You will play an instrumental role in both sales execution and team development, driving commercial growth while laying the foundations for a scalable US sales function.This role is ideal for a “hungry doer” - someone who thrives in both selling and building. You’ll be out in the field closing deals, coaching others, and shaping the future of our US go-to-market motion.You’ll report directly to Huw Birrell, Fresho Co-Founder, who is relocating to the US to lead key strategic initiatives, with a dotted line to our Global Sales Director (UK-based) to ensure support with our commercial strategy and practices.As a key member of our Sales Leadership Team, you’ll help define the US sales strategy, build and lead the team, and ensure our growth efforts align with Fresho’s global vision. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and Grow a High-Performing Sales TeamBuild and lead a US-based sales team that consistently hits and exceeds targets.Hire, train, and coach team members across the full sales cycle - from initial meetings and demos to proposals and closing.Lead from the front with a “player-coach” mindset - actively selling while developing your team.Drive New Business and Build RelationshipsTake full ownership of new business growth across key US markets.Spend up to 50% of your time in the field especially early on - visiting prospective customers, attending trade shows, and building local business relationships.Be the face of Fresho at industry events and in the field, building awareness and credibility in the market.Deliver Results and Build for ScaleWork closely with our Product, Onboarding, and Strategy teams to ensure customers receive the value promised during the sales process.Use CRM tools like Salesforce to track progress, forecast sales, and understand what’s working (and what isn’t).Set up scalable, repeatable sales processes that support long-term growth in the US market.What We’re Looking ForEssentialA strong background in the US foodservice, wholesale distribution, or fresh food supply chain industries.A curiosity for new technologies and their potential to improve the lives of the people in these industries.Proven sales experience with a track record of building new customer relationships from the ground up.Demonstrated people leadership experience - including building and managing high-performing sales teams.A hands-on, commercially minded operator who’s comfortable in the field, not just behind a desk or phone call.Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to work across customer and internal stakeholder groups.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Experience working cross-functionally across markets and teamsStrong financial acumen, including experience tracking KPIs and sales fortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment where you wear many hats.It’s a Bonus if You HaveTeam leadership experience in fast growing businesses..Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce to manage pipeline and team performance.Relevant sales training that complements your hands-on experience.Are well-networked in the US foodservice, wholesale distribution or fresh food supply chain industries.This Role Is Not ForThis role isn’t suited to candidates seeking a more executive, strategic, or desk-based position - it requires a hands-on leader who’s in the field, working closely with customers and the team, while operating at the senior manager dividuals without experience in the US food industry - domain expertise is essential to succeed in this role.First-time managers - we need someone who’s already built and led successful sales return we’ll offerEverything you need to live and work well.Benefits:Flexible health coverage with a $600/month tax-free employer contribution toward the plan of your choice, plus a 401(k) plan available for employee contributions.LinkedIn Learning Subscription with weekly work time dedicated to growing new skillsMentoring programto help you grow and exceed your potentialFlexible working with hybrid and fully remote teamsProcaffeinating Wednesdays where the coffee’s on us + in office coffee machinesWeekly fresh fruit in the officeRegular socials (with snacks and drinks of course!)Fresho merch so you can look sharp in our branded swagReferral bonuses - invite your friends and get paid for it!Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health and wellbeingCEO Book Club where role related e-books are on usFresho Sponsorship program to support your personal interests outside of workFresho embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way.
