OverviewThe Director, Project Finance oversees the financial operations for their respective business units. The team is primarily responsible for the full life cycle financial oversight of projects, ensuring revenue recognition is completed in accordance with IFRS and GAAP, accurate monthly revenue and cost to delivery forecasting, project reporting (profitability, backlog burn, realization, etc.), month end close responsibilities, and ensuring our processes, procedures, reporting, controls and documentation are adequate for the organization and its goals and objectives. This team also works closely with the business units on developing and executing margin enhancements initiatives.ResponsibilitiesLead the global monthly revenue close process by leading the teams in reviewing, consolidating, guiding, and challenging the monthly actual and forecast results.Drive continuous improvement throughout the project life cycle financial processes with the goal to (a) improve close timelines, (b) maximize working capital through an improved billing cycle and negotiated billing terms, (c) improved and enhanced reporting, and (d) move toward predictive analytics versus reactive KPIs.Support the organization as it relates to the revenue portion of our annual audits, both statutory and financial audits.Partner with other finance teams to meet, drive, and achieve department or company’s goals and objectives.Liaise with the systems and applications teams who oversee day to day administration of the organization ERP to ensure the tools, flow, and processes meet the needs of the team.Drive and pursue margin enhancement initiatives through partnering with business leaders, leveraging data to provide analysis to drive improved business decisions, and provide recurring measurements against project and efficiency metrics.Build effective working relationships with the wider finance and business teams to facilitate shared learning and support.Work closely with FP&A organization to support business leadership in (1) interpreting the results (till EBITDA level) of their respective business area, (2) help influence business decisions through data driven analysis (3) provide relevant input to business reviews and budget cycles.QualificationsChartered Accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent)Deep and detailed experience in IFRS/ GAAP, specifically Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15)Strong background in building and managing a Project Finance or Finance Operations team.7+ years post-qualification experience, including detailed experience in project finance.Experience in managing global or multi location teamsExperience in supporting a professional service organization.Experience of driving and implementing change into an organizationExceptional planning, organization, and communication skillsAbility to advise and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProfessional gravitas, assertive and confident with a high level of personal and professional credibility, presenting to senior stakeholders.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesProfessional Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
