They will be responsible for overseeing the company’s quality assurance & food safety programs. The Director will manage a team of quality control professionals, collaborate across departments, and work closely with external stakeholders to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices. The Director will also play a key role in fostering and enhancing a strong food safety culture within the organization.Must be open to travelResponsibilitiesLead the development, implementation, and ci of quality management systemsOversee product quality testing, evaluations, and audits to maintain compliance and regulatory complianceMonitor and measure product quality, conducting root cause analysis on quality issues, implementing corrective actions as neededDrive the development and execution of quality policies & procedures within industry standardsEnsure the organizations adherence to food safety regulations & maintain necessary certificationsLead the design, implementation, and monitoring of food safety programsOversee the maintenance of food safety programs including training, audits, and food safety processesCoordinate inspections, certifications, and compliance updatesManage and mentor the quality assurance and food safety teamsDevelop team KPI’s and ensure alignment with organization goalsPartner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure quality controls measuresWork closely with other departments including Marketing and R&DEnsure alignment between quality and food safety initiative and overall company objectivesRespond to and manage food safety incidentsConduct internal audits & reviewsOversee the preparation of required regulator reportsMaintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and training programsRequirementsMaster’s degree in Food Science or related fieldLead Auditor Certified (e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 22000)Food Defense CertifiedMaster’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Proven expertise in process improvement and waste reduction)CertificationsHACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)SQF (Safe Quality Food) CertifiedExperienced in using SAP and other ERP systems to track, manage, and report quality and safety dataFamiliarity with industry tools and technologies used for food safety, traceability, and reportingContact: job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
