Senior Civil Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Site/Civil Engineer to join our collaborative team in Chicago, Illinois. This individual will serve a key function in leading and supporting design, permitting, and client management and development efforts for a variety of land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top industry leaders on a diverse array of premier land development projects in the commercial and industrial fields.Base pay range$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yrAdditional compensation typesAnnual BonusResponsibilitiesDesign and permit commercial, residential, industrial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clientsWork closely with leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilizationServe as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agenciesPossess an entrepreneurial demeanor and participate in business development activities by developing new clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clientsDevelop project scopes, budgets, schedules, work plansLead site/civil efforts on a variety of project sites including the ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completionLead storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design and SWPPP preparationDemonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering including the integration of geotechnical and environmental engineeringQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering – Required.Professional Engineering license (P.E.) – Required.10+ years of successful, local and related site/civil engineering experience with a concentration in land development on both small and large projectsSite/civil experience on a variety of commercial and/or industrial project sites – Required.Ability to design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, etc. from concept through completionClient development and client management abilitiesActive participation in professional engineering or related organizationsExperience in technical and proposal writingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilitiesAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environmentBenefitsThe position comes with numerous benefits and a comprehensive compensation package which includes: Full-time employment, company paid medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, and paid pregnancy disability leave; 401(k)/Roth with company match; paid time off including parental and military leave; employee referral and professional license bonuses; and educational reimbursement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
