OverviewField Service Technician – San Francisco, CA at Belimed. The role involves traveling to hospital sites to install, service, and maintain Belimed products while delivering excellent customer service. This is a remote, home-based position traveling around the San Francisco area with a 2-4 hour driving radius, and some overnight travel may be required for training. Residency within a 15 mile radius of San Francisco is required. Belimed is a leading global supplier of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization solutions for Medical and Life Science. ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using test instrumentsMeasure and adjust digital and analog instrumentation using calibration equipmentInstall, modify and repair Belimed and/or third-party equipmentManage customer base effectively; prioritize customer needs and balance preventive maintenance workload with daily repairsDemonstrate correct usage and application of equipment to customersConduct product in-service trainings as requiredComplete service reports, timesheets, expense reports and parts lists in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain an organized work vehicle with necessary tools, manuals and parts required to provide efficient repairs and installationsMonitor customer chemical orders, contract sales and renewalsPromote and maintain good customer relations through high standards of professionalism, ethical behavior, maturity and good judgmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience with industrial electrical single and 3-phase wiring and controlsExperience troubleshooting water and pneumatic process controlsExperience using diagnostic test equipment, volt-ohm meters, amp probes and precision temperature and pressure calibration equipmentAbility to perform piping of copper, brass and stainless steel pipingAbility to read and red-line P&ID and electrical schematicsModerate technical aptitude; general computer skills with the ability to communicate effectively via e-mailAbility to lift at least fifty pounds unassistedAbility to climb over and crawl under equipmentAbility to travel extensively with little notice prior to travelMust have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordAbility to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs dictateAbility to maintain compliance of all credentialing requirements in order to access customer sitesEmployment detailsRemote, home-based position traveling within the San Francisco area (2-4 hour radius).
