Senior Counsel - Labor & Employment Law

OverviewSenior Counsel is a recognized specialist in labor and employment law who provides a comprehensive range of legal services and advice to BJC Hospitals and Service Organizations. The incumbent is a legal advisor who demonstrates growing competence in applying complex legal skills and practices, and the maturity and judgment to analyze and solve legal issues and to interact with BJC/SLHS management and outside counsel on legal matters.ResponsibilitiesProvides extensive advice on a wide range of labor and employment matters; contributes to formulation and development of new policies and revision of existing policies; advises on implementation and application of policies; develops and conducts legal training; handles agency charges; supervises litigation.Demonstrates ability to effectively manage a large, diverse, and complex workload with minimal direct supervision.Possesses exceptional legal knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Typically requires 7+ years of experience in health care law or the specific labor and employment area.QualificationsApplicable Experience: 6-9 yearsLicensed Attorney - The Missouri Bar and licensed or eligible for admission to the Kansas BarDoctorate Degree: Juris Doctorate (Required)Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionLegalIndustriesHospitals and Health CareThis role requires residence in the Kansas City or Saint Louis Metro Area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
