OverviewInsight Global is sourcing a strategic yet hands-on HR Director (or above) to lead one of our fastest growing start up clients in the Bay Area's human resources function. This role will go beyond traditional HR responsibilities—bringing business acumen, organizational design expertise, and startup agility to help shape our client’s growth trajectory. The ideal candidate has successfully built HR frameworks in dynamic, high-growth companies, and can partner directly with leadership and managers to align talent, performance, and organizational structure with business goals.ResponsibilitiesOrganizational Development & RestructuringLead org design and restructuring initiatives to align with evolving business priorities.Maintain and optimize the org chart, ensuring clarity in reporting lines, roles, and pensation & Benefits StrategyOversee salary benchmarking and develop fair, competitive, and scalable compensation structures.Evaluate and optimize benefits programs that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.Performance Management & KPI AlignmentPartner with department head or business unit stakeholder to define role-specific KPIs and performance metrics.Develop frameworks for performance reviews, goal-setting, and continuous feedback.HR Operations & ComplianceLead HR policies, employee relations, and compliance across US and cross-border offices.Implement scalable HR systems, SOPs, and processes to support company growth.Talent & CultureSupport recruitment strategy in partnership with TA team; ensure we attract and retain top talent.Drive initiatives that foster employee engagement, learning, and professional development.Act as a culture ambassador—helping balance startup agility with long-term organizational health.Leadership & Business PartnershipServe as a trusted advisor to leadership, bringing business insights to people decisions.Translate strategic priorities into actionable HR initiatives that support company success.Requirements:8+ years in HR, with at least 3+ years in a senior HR leadership role (Head of HR, HRD). Startup or entertainment/tech industry experience strongly preferred.Ability to speak MandarinProven track record in org restructuring, compensation design, performance management frameworks, and HR operations.Strong understanding of how HR strategies drive business outcomes; experience working directly with founders and leadership teams.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance strategy with execution.Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and adaptable.
