Machine Learning Engineer

OverviewZachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced, security cleared, AI / Machine Learning Engineer to support a Federal Engineering team focused on GenAI solutions for the public sector. In this role, you'll help architect and deploy cutting-edge, AI-driven mission systems for government clients. You'll work with high-throughput platforms capable of processing billions of data points, contributing to secure, distributed infrastructures and advanced machine learning pipelines that power real-world impact.This role is over 50% Hybrid, with offices in San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York City.ResponsibilitiesTake cutting-edge internally and community developed models, and utilize them to solve problems for customers and taskersMaintain and improve production models through deep reinforcement learning, architectural upgrades, and hyperparameter tuningCollaborate with various teams to identify and prototype ML-driven product enhancementsServe as a cross-functional representative to advocate for machine learning techniques across organizationsCreate scalable Machine learning infrastructures to optimize and automate ML servicesBe comfortable using new technologies in a fast-paced collaborative environmentQualificationsActive U.S. Security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, can hold FS POLY)Extensive background with computer vision, deep learning, deep reinforcement learning, and natural language processing in a production environmentStrong background with algorithms, data structures and object oriented programmingHigh level programming in Python, along with experience in TensorFlow or PyTorchExperience deploying machine learning models in cloud environments (preferably AWS or GCP)Experience with generative AI models, agentic systems, and large language modelsFamiliar with agentic model design and ML evaluation frameworksDegree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence is a plusCompensation and Benefits$170,000 - $230,000+ *Dependent on experience*Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr
