You will work closely with Public Sector prospects and customers by shadowing and improving your team’s technical expertise. You will foster new team members and ensure workloads are distributed within the team. You are personable and provide constructive feedback when necessary. You will help escalate and identify issues quickly and efficiently and collaborate with other managers and the regional lead for regional coordination. The Manager is a player/coach who still contributes individually.To aid your team, you will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support. Your goal is customer success across the organization by guiding your team to create scalable solutions for customer needs.Desirable skills, knowledge, experience and goalsOur Solutions Engineering Managers come from diverse backgrounds (financial consulting, engineering, software development, product management, customer support & project delivery). You will be part of a collaborative, supportive culture.RequirementsDemonstrable experience in coaching, leadership, or managing mid-sized Solutions Engineering organizations.Experience providing public sector contract management, contract negotiation, compliance, project management, or related support for commercial products, SaaS, PaaS, and/or government contract schedules or frameworks.Experience working with government agencies or customers in the United States.Experience navigating technical sales for large enterprise accounts.Experience solving escalations, team issues, or other management scenarios.Proven track record of partnering with account executives and customer success teams to deliver Cloudflare solutions.ResponsibilitiesConduct 1:1s with team members.Act as a point of escalation for team issues; escalate issues that cannot be solved within the team.Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.Develop team members in skills, knowledge and career paths within Cloudflare, including developing managers or future leaders.Manage performance and set high standards.Report on individual SE strengths and pensationCompensation may be adjusted depending on work location. This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan.For Washington, DC based: Estimated annual salary of $233,000 - $285,000Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.Benefits Cloudflare offers a comprehensive benefits package.
