Job Title: Software Engineer IIIContract Duration: 11 monthsLocation: Menlo Park, CAWork Arrangement: OnsiteSummaryThis role will require designing and building scalable backend services, authoring and maintaining proper code, documentation and creating and following an effective processes for partner engagement. An ideal candidate will bring to the table a solid set of technical skills and experience in the scalable backend services space.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to design and build scalable backend services and APIsHelp partners integrate their apps/services onto Meta family of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality devices including but not limited to Meta Quest headsets and RayBan Meta GlassesWork closely with partner technical teams to integrate with Partner APIs and servicesDevelop a robust understanding of the various Meta Reality Labs platforms/APIs and underlying implementationsEnsure great documentation and best practices are created to collaborate with partnersMinimum QualificationsSoftware engineer with 4-5 years of backend development experience around building, maintaining and scaling backend infra and working on large scale systems that serve large number of users.Bachelor’s or master’s degrees in software engineering.Software development experience in languages and environments such as Java, Native Development Kit (C++) and/or PHPExperience with distributed systemsExperience with designing, building and maintaining scalable backend services and API endpointsExperience with SQL and no-SQL databases, GraphQL and REST APIsProven experience, communication, analytical, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of scalable data pipelines and experience with ETL pipelinesProven expertise in debugging and maintaining scalable services and APIsMust Have SkillsSoftware development experience in languages and environments such as Java, Native Development Kit (C++) and/or PHPExperience with distributed systemsExperience with designing software, building and maintaining scalable backend services and API endpointsExperience with SQL and no-SQL databases, GraphQL and REST APIsNice to Have SkillsKnowledge of scalable data pipelines and experience with ETL pipelinesProven expertise in debugging and maintaining scalable services and APIsGeneral InformationOnsite; MPK, California Fair Chance Act and related compliance information are included in the original posting.
