OverviewThe Applications Development Technology Senior Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.ResponsibilitiesLead integration of functions to meet goals, deploy new products, and enhance processesAnalyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problemsProvide expertise in area of advanced knowledge of applications programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross functional project, or multiple projectsDevelop application methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementationUtilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas to achieve technology goalsConsult with end users to identify system function specifications and incorporate into overall system designAllocate work, and act as an advisor/coach developers, analysts, and new team membersInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external partiesAvoid risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end resultsUtilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issuesEnsure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standardsIntegrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goalsProvide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sourcesInfluence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessaryAvoid risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.Key SkillsProficiency in languages like Python, Scala, or Java is essential for building and maintaining data pipelines.Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases is crucial.Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and other big data technologies is often required.Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is increasingly important.Understanding data modeling concepts and techniques to design efficient and scalable data storage solutions.Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes for data integration.The ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions.The ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.Qualifications15+ years of relevant experienceExperience in implementing projectsDemonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) in area(s) of Applications DevelopmentWorked in Financial industry preferably Funds business functionsEducationBachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferred------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family: Applications Development------------------------------------------------------Time Type: Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location: Jersey City New Jersey United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $176,720.00 - $265,080.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
