To learn more about our dynamic, stable and growing company, visit SUMMARYThe Director of Cyber Security will serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of information security within the organization. This role involves managing a team of Cyber Security professionals, oversight of security alerts/news, and designing and implementing new security standards and protocols. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for framework mapping & framework management. This role will report directly to the head of Information Technology, and as such will collaborate closely in order to align goals and support strategic company initiatives.The incumbent will work with internal and external resources to test the safety and security of enterprise systems, including conducting penetration testing and audits. They will provide emergency guidance, support and assistance in response to new and emerging threats. Participation in various project teams to assess needs, requirements, examine benefits, and recommend IT-related solutions is critical. Frequent interaction with all aspects of the Information Technology Department is a key component of this role.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManagement of a team of Cyber Security engineersProficient in conducting risk vs business impact analysisCyber forensic & threat analysisPrioritizing threat alerts & response (Alerting, management, remediation)Recommend & assist in the implementation of security hardening methodologiesOversight of numerous security platforms (SIEM, EDR, Etc …)Ability to work as a leader, team member, and sole contributorDevelop, design and improve IT security policies, procedures & processes across the enterpriseCollaborate with other departments to identify needs that can be met while keeping the environment secureImplementation of major system changes and integrations following the corporate change management policiesPerform security access audits and develop/implement remediation plansServe as liaison between staff and the security team to resolve security related issuesReview daily released Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures and assess against internal systemsFollows all safety policies and procedures including use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguardsSoft skills such as communication, presentation, problem solving, multi-tasking and working under pressure are critical to this role.Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS6+ years of prior relevant experienceBachelors or Master’s degree in a Cyber Security related expertisePeople Management & Leadership experienceCyber Security certification(s) (CISSP / CISA / CEH)Experience presenting to and working with executive leadershipIn-depth understanding of cybersecurity framework standards and best practicesForensic Cyber Security knowledgeDemonstrated interpersonal skills and abilities – particularly in the fashion of working with other department members on solutions.Skills at organizing resources and establishing prioritiesWORKING CONDITIONSSome lifting and carrying of equipment is requiredTravel between locations may be required (Stationed in Montvale, NJ)Work involves extensive use of a desktop or laptop computerMost work is performed inside in a normal office environmentSome work will be performed in an environmentally controlled server room#HP123Balchem is committed to a workplace culture that values and promotes diversity, inclusion, equal employment opportunities, and a work environment free of harassment and hostilityThe expected salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 annually.
