OverviewVerdani Partners is actively recruiting a highly qualified Legal Operations Manager to provide essential support to our Operations and Business Development teams. We seek an individual with meticulous attention to detail who thrives in a dynamic team environment. This role involves managing internal contracts, reviewing and negotiating client contracts to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies, and overseeing legally related matters for our clients’ diverse portfolios. You will be responsible for managing the execution of contract documents in an expeditious manner, acting as a liaison with our legal counsel, and diligently monitoring our contractual agreements ensuring that contracts are well-structured, legal compliant, and effectively managed.Salary: $42,500. Reports to: Implementation Director and Business Development Director. Position Type: Part-time (potential to move to Full-time). Reporting Location: Remote.To learn more about our firm, please see the About Us section or visit our website at as a point of contact between Verdani Partners and our legal counsel.Collaborate closely with attorneys, Verdani staff, and teams (Business Development, client advisors, COO and Ops team, HR team, HR consultant, and other strategic advisors) to address legal issues, understand and manage contract needs, and ensure favorable terms and contract accuracy.Review, negotiate, and manage contracts related to client services, operations, HR, and facilities, ensuring all agreements are well-structured, legally compliant, and effectively managed.Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks associated with contractual agreements, including requests to revise contract terms and conditions.Ensure all contracts adhere to Verdani’s legal requirements and organizational policies and monitor compliance with contractual obligations.Coordinate and oversee the signing process for new contracts and contract renewals, ensuring all necessary signatures are obtained and the contract is legally binding.Develop drafts for updated or new contract needs (e.g., MSAs, PSAs, MOUs, MNDAs) and maintain an organized system for tracking status, administering, monitoring, and auditing contracts and contracts SOPs.Provide detailed weekly reports on contract statuses and updates.Advise Verdani on ways to improve content and management of contracts and terms and conditions and implement strategies to minimize legal exposure and increase efficiency and effectiveness of legal municate contract-related information effectively within the organization and train employees on contract procedures and responsibilities.Foster positive relationships by providing exceptional contract management services.Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings; draft proposals for new business opportunities.Professional Experience & QualificationsWe recognize that requirements may vary. We will consider candidates who demonstrate a combination of required and preferred experience, as well as a proactive and positive attitude.Required:At least three to five years of relevant experienceAssociate’s degree in Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)Experience in contract administration or a related roleWorking understanding of contract law and legal principles, including Contract Law and Negotiation, Company Operations Law, Intellectual Property Law, Data Privacy and Security, Regulatory Compliance, and Risk Management and LiabilityAbility to identify and mitigate risks associated with client projects and servicesKnowledge of liability issues, insurance, and indemnification clausesProficiency in creating clear, enforceable agreementsStrong communication and negotiation skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience with contract management software or legal technology toolsPreferred:Certificate as a Contract Management Associate (CCMA) or Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM)Sector-specific experience (e.g., commercial real estate, sustainability, sales, private equity/finance, technology, etc.)Working understanding of corporate law and governance; taxation and financial compliance; employment and labor lawAbility to multi-task and handle multiple projectsStrong interpersonal written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management and organization skillsAbility to problem solve and exercise independent judgmentAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal team members and stakeholdersAbility to work independently with little supervisionProject management skillsContinuous learning mindsetPlatforms & SoftwareRequired: Proficiency in Adobe and MS Office or equivalent (including Outlook, Excel, and Word).Working Conditions and Physical DemandsDuring the execution of job responsibilities, the employee should expect the following conditions and demands associated with the role:Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computerRepetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingersOccasional light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessaryClose vision requirements due to computer workAdequate hearing for effective communication in-person and/or on the telephoneAbility to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuouslyThe job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting where moderate noise levels may be presentReasonable accommodations are available upon request to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of the job.Language requirements: Fluent in English communication, both oral and written.Additional Position DetailsApplicant must be authorized to work in the United StatesAbout Verdani PartnersVerdani Partners is a mission-driven organization dedicated to advancing sustainability in the built environment on a global scale.
