OverviewThe Senior Franchise Business Leader will be instrumental in achieving the company’s franchise initiatives to include new store openings, execution of new development agreements, and growing sales across all revenue channels. They will spearhead efforts to increase sales within business-to-business, catering, and gifting, acting as the subject matter expert in partnership with the VP of Franchise Operations and other Franchise Business Leaders to ensure brand standards are met across a defined span of 30-40 franchise stores. Responsibilities include ensuring and enforcing brand standard adherence, executing operations systems and tools, conducting operational assessments, and creating action plans for growth and improvement. The role provides strategic guidance, performance analysis, and brand insight for the defined span of control while partnering with internal stakeholders to achieve the company’s 6-year strategic plan.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSpearheads the development and execution of the franchise plans for business-to-business, catering, and gifting sales to achieve the strategic initiatives of the Company.Partners with franchisees and internal stakeholders to analyze key performance indicators and financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to franchisees and HBH senior leadership.Develops content for monthly webinars for the franchise community to promote best practices to achieve business-to-business activities.Develops, executes, and monitors the processes, activities, and best practices to drive catering and gifting sales across the 200+ store franchise system.Partners with various teams to include Franchise Operations, Real Estate, and Construction to support all new store opening activities and existing store remodels according to brand standards.Fosters and maintains trusting and mutually beneficial business relationships with franchisees.Mentors and supports other Franchise Business Leaders with New Store Opening activities and Operational Excellence Reports.Partners with senior leadership and Franchise Business Leaders with SWOT analyses to ensure FSQA compliance.Ensures adherence to the Vision, Mission, and Values of the HoneyBaked brand in all franchisee stores and among all Franchise Owners and Franchise Store Teams.Partners with internal teams to ensure brand adherence in the areas of standard operations, marketing, customer experience, and food safety in accordance with Company standards.Researches and maintains insight on industry trends and competitor activities to provide strategic guidance to senior leadership and the franchise community.Supports the Franchise system with New Store Opening activities including premarketing initiatives.Supports additional franchise development area planning and the new store opening process.Trains, coaches, and supports new and current franchise owners to execute the New Store Opening Roadmap to ensure successful new store openings and sustained sales growth.Conducts a comprehensive annual business review of the franchisee’s operational and financial performance, as well as semi-annual Operations Excellence Review (OER).Communicates opportunities, performance gaps, and areas of influence to the Vice President, Franchise Operations.Ensures Voice of the Customer Program is trained and executed to ensure consistent and highly satisfying customer experience intended to build sales and brand loyalty.Leverages Limited-Time-Only (LTO) and Holiday promotions to increase market share, build sales, and grow transactions as key drivers of a profitable business model.Upholds and enforces local and national food safety and health standards, as well as compliance with the brand’s Food Safety and Pest Management Programs.Ensures the brand’s marketing calendar is executed through in-store visits, Checks for Excellence, and consistent coaching and communications.Trains and coaches Franchise Owners, Operators, and Store Managers to utilize HoneyBaked food, labor, and controllable expense systems to manage costs.Provides consultation and expertise to improve margins, operational efficiencies, and profits.Serves as a role model and leader in fostering and inspiring a Growth-Mindset.Responsible for achieving sales and profit goals; uses available reports to identify opportunities and ensures that correct operational procedures are followed at all times.Builds capability and working expertise to provide problem solving and planning solutions.Maintains store-level compliance to Federal, State, and Local Laws.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis role will lead 2 or more Franchise Business Leaders.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS5+ years of extensive multi-unit franchise leadership and operational roles, preferably within the restaurant industry.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAn understanding of P&L statements, budgeting and controllable costsStrong analytical skills, including proven ability to develop, manage, and interpret metricsIntermediate computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPointExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalPossesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence and maintains a good driving record.An energetic and positive outlook, proactive self-starter, driven to get things done and does the right thing for the businessUnparalleled leadership behaviors;
