Technical Product Manager

OverviewUnstructured.io is a cutting-edge technology company focused on processing and extracting insights from unstructured data. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager for Unstructured Platform, an ETL tool for unstructured data built around core file transformation capabilities. You will be embedded with a software team and responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery and ongoing optimization. The role involves understanding market demands, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the product aligns with the company’s strategic goals. An ideal candidate will have experience with ETL or LLM products and a strong technical background in software. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy and Vision: Own, define, and articulate a compelling product vision aligned with the company mission to deliver data to generative AI applications. Develop an understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to shape strategy for generative AI. Product Development: Build actionable product requirements and technical specifications that reflect customer needs and strategic vision to grow Unstructured’s ETL user base. Collaborate with engineering to prioritize and drive development. Create customer-forward experiences across no-code UI and programmatic access patterns. Ensure performance, security, and scalability through engineering excellence. Define success metrics for releases to measure customer experience and engineering quality. Market Analysis and Positioning: Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats, stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies. Understand customer personas and use cases to tailor the product to their needs. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with sales, marketing, and customer support to gather feedback, address concerns, and support go-to-market strategies. Communicate tradeoffs between cost and value of features. Ensure seamless integration with external stacks and on-premise deployments. Be empathetic to a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Product Launch and Training: Develop and execute go-to-market plans, including marketing collateral, training materials, and customer communications. Provide training and support to internal teams. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implement and monitor KPIs to track product performance and user satisfaction. Continuously analyze data to identify areas for improvement across product, engineering, and sales funnels. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or MS in a technical field is a plus. 5–8 years of experience as a product manager for a SaaS web application, with preference for experience with ETL or LLM tools. Prior experience as a software engineer or in a technical role is a plus. Deep experience with software development at scale and developer-facing products is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
