You’ll shape world-class environments that power cutting-edge R&D and product development, from design and construction to maintenance, compliance, and user experience.Base pay range: $275,000.00/yr - $325,000.00/yrEstimated total compensation: $375,000 – $435,000 USD per year (exact offer dependent on experience, education, and location).Boden Talent is proud to support our client—a global leader in innovation—in identifying an Executive Director of Lab Services to lead the end-to-end lab portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Governance: Lead the global strategy for lab planning, operations, and infrastructure aligned to the client’s growth roadmap; build and inspire a high-performing team across lab operations, capital projects, planning, workplace experience, and technical services; implement governance, performance metrics, and risk strategies.Design, Construction & Capital Projects: Oversee lab facility design and construction with a focus on flexibility, compliance, and future-proofing; deliver renovations and specialized infrastructure upgrades across regions; manage capital and TI project schedules and budgets.Operations, Infrastructure & Maintenance: Ensure reliability of critical infrastructure—MEP systems, clean power, HVAC, gases, and utilities; drive preventive/predictive maintenance programs for high-performance uptime; champion continuous improvement in technical lab settings.Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC): Oversee MAC planning and execution—equipment relocations, space modifications, occupancy changes; collaborate with lab teams to minimize disruption and maintain scientific alignment; develop MAC standards, playbooks, and change workflows; align lab space strategy with evolving R&D and product pipelines; use data and analytics to optimize lab usage and support investment decisions; champion a safe, efficient, and seamless lab environment; ensure compliance with EH&S, HSSE, and regulatory policies; standardize lab service operations through SOPs.Qualifications15+ years leading lab facility operations in tech, life sciences, or semiconductor environments.Proven expertise in lab systems (HVAC, clean rooms, DI/RO water, gas, electrical).Experience overseeing large-scale lab construction, relocations, and reconfigurations.Strong budgeting, vendor management, and capital planning experience.Familiarity with CMMS, smart buildings, and lab planning tools is a plus.Executive-level leadership with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.Preferred BackgroundProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMaster’s degree or MBASystems thinker with strong execution and stakeholder management skillsPassionate about enabling innovation through world-class facilitiesBenefitsTailored benefits package designed to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being.401(k) with company matchPaid parental leave (100% salary)Generous PTO and company holidaysIf this opportunity aligns with your experience and ambitions—even if you don’t meet every listed requirement—we’d love to hear from you.
