You will define and lead the product marketing vision across Benchling’s R&D Cloud platform, resonating with scientists and technical audiences—from researchers in the wet lab to IT leaders enabling transformative workflows. You will champion narrative differentiation, shape compelling positioning, and own GTM strategy that accelerates adoption, revenue, and category leadership—grounded in the ethos of enabling “modern software for modern science” and incorporating our AI narrative and this elevated leadership seat, you’ll inspire and grow a world-class team, setting the bar high for cross-functional execution across Product, Sales, Strategy, Enablement, and Customer Experience. You’ll partner with the C-suite and across functions—bringing clarity to ambiguity, aligning goals, and ensuring seamless launch plans, KPIs, and performance measurements. Benchling’s culture of credibility and trust with senior business leaders and alignment of product objectives will be central to your success.RESPONSIBILITIESLead a team of product marketers to define and champion the overall market positioning and narrative for Benchling, establishing the company as a thought leader in the biotech and AI spaceBuild, scale, and develop direct reports and a broader talent pool within the Marketing organization, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learningCollaborate and drive alignment with the C-suite and senior sales and product leadershipLead cross-functionally with leaders across Marketing, Product, pre-Sales, Sales, and post-Sales to create alignment and clarity with regards to GTM launch strategy and segment/solution objectivesOversee customer requirements and provide input to product management on product needs, including areas of integration between products; influence product roadmap decisions to align with market opportunities and customer needs across the portfolioEstablish an efficient cross-functional working model across GTM teams and develop annual/quarterly plans to measure performance within segments and solutionsDevelop and execute strategies to drive significant new market penetration and adoption of new products, with measurable impact on top-line growthConduct and synthesize internal and external research around customer segments, market trends, and use casesLead the team in creating crisp, compelling messaging and content assets for customers and prospectsProvide executive-level updates on performance of product areas, including net new growth and expansion by segment or solutionBe a connector across GTM teams and product, advocating for customers and ensuring the market understands Benchling’s strengthsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA is a plus10+ years in product marketing or marketing leadership in high-growth B2B SaaS, with 6–7+ years leading high-performing teamsVisionary leader able to elevate company positioning to inspire action across field, prospects, and customersProven track record of executive-level influence and credibility with C-suite and internal stakeholdersExcellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise presentations for executivesExperience bringing products to market and scaling GTM across multiple product lines with accountability to pipeline and revenue targetsDynamic, empathetic, and flexible in communication and working in multi-cultural teamsSelf-starter who can navigate a complex organization to drive projects from idea to execution, including delegationHighly organized, energetic leader with a passion for developing peopleAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable insightsDeep curiosity for life sciences and biotech; experience with emerging data technologies for life sciences is a plusAbility to operate in a fast-moving, fast-growing environmentHOW WE WORKWe offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes in-office collaboration. Employees are expected to be on-site 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).SALARY RANGEBenchling uses a market-based pay approach. The base salary range for this role is $208,000 to $312,000, determined by job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and location.Total Compensation includes a broad range of benefits, including medical/dental/vision plans, fertility benefits, parental leave, 401(k) with employer match, commuter benefits and home office stipend, mental health benefits, wellness stipend, learning and development stipend, generous vacation, and other programs.We believe diversity enriches our team and are an equal opportunity employer.
