OverviewMid-Senior WPF Software Engineer role at Jobs via Dice (Kforce Technology Staffing). The Software Engineer will work with the development team to create Windows PC based applications for a medical device console with a modern graphical user interface and underlying data communication, processing, storage and retrieving mechanisms. The software engineer will also develop PC based applications for lab usage per engineering requests.ResponsibilitiesDevelop Windows PC based GUI applicationsCreate software modules to communicate with other hardware components with established protocolsCreate software modules for data storing and retrievingGenerate data processing algorithms and applicationsProvide documentation suitable for design verification and validationContribute to the Cryo project and other future initiativesWork on CI/CD pipelines and software tools for productionCollaborate across software and hardware teams, not siloed workOther duties as assignedRequirementsB.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degreeMinimum 3 years of relevant experienceCoursework or experience in GUI design programming; Object oriented programming in C++ or equivalent; Algorithms; Computer communicationExperience in C#, WPF and XAML with Microsoft Visual StudioExperience in SQL or NoSQL databaseExperience with Microsoft .NET frameworkStrong writing, documentation, and communication skillsMust demonstrate a willingness to learn and expand beyond current skillsetShould be open to hands-on work with hardware and collaboration with firmware engineersAbility to work in a fast paced, Agile environmentAbility to work with engineers of different disciplines including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, etc.Multi-threading experience is a nice-to-have, but not requiredMedical device experience is not required, but considered a plusThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
