ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects for Defense customers.Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications/services are constructed on the AWS platform.Serve as a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.Provide thoughtful technical design and sensitivity to customer needs in Defense markets, collaborating with a sales and business development team.Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community.Collaborate with customers, ecosystem system integrators, and solution providers to build broad use of AWS services.You will work with Army customers at various locations in the U.S. and overseas, listening to requirements, analyzing potential solutions, and helping customers achieve their cloud goals.Basic Qualifications8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.Experience working with end user or developer communities.Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.Experience architecting infrastructure solutions on Linux/Unix and Windows, including server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architectures.Executive speaking and presentation skills; ability to present in whiteboard, small and large group settings.Technical experience in Web Services development/deployment, cloud computing.Operational experience with websites/services operations, management, and security.Economic and business experience including RFP/acquisition support, technical architecture, market trends, and cost-benefit analysis.Advisory/Consulting experience with Defense Department customers.Security and CitizenshipThis position requires that the candidate be a U.S. citizen and possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
