Join us and be part of a world-class team delivering unmatched solutions for today/'s most pressing maritime missions.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and integrate payloads for UUV/USV systemsDevelop tools and methods to aid in payload integration, production and testDesign and manage manufacture of waterproof housings for payload components, sensors, and electronicsAssist in the planning and conduct of at-sea operational and survivability testingWork with small teams in remote field locationsCreate and manage CAD models of components and assembliesSupport configuration management processes for relevant mechanical systems, interfaces, and assembly proceduresWork independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignmentsDevelop and evaluate solution options to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledgeAct as primary liaison between subcontractors and government program managerEducation and QualificationsMinimum Education Required: BachelorsJob Category: EngineeringBasic Qualifications: Basic proficiency with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) skills; SolidWorks or SolidEdge preferred; proficiency with machine shop tools (mill, lathe, CNC, 3D Printer); experience with Windows and Linux; experience designing for the marine environment; experience with Oceanographic instruments; general knowledge of building codes, plumbing, electrical, housing/domestic systems; general knowledge of subcontract management; ability to work on a small boat (not susceptible to motion sickness); effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work in small, collaborative teams; well-organized and detail-oriented; ability to manage multiple projects; capability to work independently with minimal oversight; BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Architecture, Ocean, Systems Engineering or related field; US Citizenship; currently hold a Secret clearance.Clearance: Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsProficiency with SysML and Catia Magic, MBSE, requirements management, V&V, and T&EAbility to create and maintain technical documentation, including test reports and part drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T StandardExperience with wireless/wired networks and cybersecurityAdditional InformationLocation: San Diego, CaliforniaEmployment type: Full-timeCompany: LeidosSeniority level: Entry level #J-18808-Ljbffr
