Reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer, you will take full ownership of accounting, financial operations and reporting while helping guide strategic decision-making as the company grows. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in dynamic startup environments and wants to build and lead finance processes from the ground up. Responsibilities Perform all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and tax compliance Execute monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards for subscription-based revenue recognition Track and analyze key SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, CAC, CLTV) and report on business performance trends to leadership and investors Develop and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures to support the company’s scale-up phase Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management Prepare board reports, investor updates and key financial metrics to support strategic decisions Lead the implementation of financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners Provide financial insights on pricing, hiring plans, vendor selection and capital allocation About You You are a proactive, detail-oriented finance leader who enjoys building structure in fast-paced environments. You have a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals but are also comfortable operating strategically and translating numbers into actionable insights. You’re hands-on, collaborative, and able to grow with the company as it scales. Professional Qualifications The successful candidate will have: 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2+ years in a controller or senior finance role Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Proven ability to design and implement financial processes and systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Experience in a high-growth startup or technology company (preferred) Familiarity with SaaS metrics and venture-backed finance issues Experience with Hubspot and/or Subscript a plus Competitive salaries and sales commissions.
