OverviewA long-standing, mission-driven human services nonprofit based in South Florida is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over a century of impact, this organization serves individuals and families across the region through a wide range of life-enhancing programs focused on health, wellness, and self-sufficiency — all rooted in strong community values.Position SummaryThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the Finance Department and serve as a key strategic partner to the executive team. This individual will be responsible for the full scope of financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and audits. The CFO will also play a vital role in financial planning and process improvement across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all financial operations, accounting functions, reconciliations, and auditsEnsure compliance with GAAP and non-profit regulatory requirementsLead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesManage AP, AR, Payroll, GL, and grant billing functionsDevelop and implement KPI and dashboard reportingStrengthen internal controls and champion paperless finance systemsServe as a financial advisor to the COO and executive teamPrepare and present financial updates to the board of directorsParticipate in community and organizational events twice per yearTeam StructureReports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)Direct Reports: Controller, Accounting ManagerOversees a team of 15 in the finance and accounting departmentEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s in Accounting (required); Master’s or CPA (preferred)8+ years of accounting/financial leadership in a nonprofit settingExperience managing large, multi-departmental organizationsStrong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit reporting requirementsSkills & ToolsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with accounting and fundraising software systemsFamiliarity with KPI/dashboard tools (preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated success in building and leading effective teamsSeniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/AuditingIndustries: Non-profit Organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr
