For more information, please visit .As part of Global Atlantic, the Institutional Markets team focuses on origination, structuring and management of transaction opportunities across the global life and annuity insurance market. The Institutional Markets team is seeking an experienced individual responsible for managing the deal execution of potential reinsurance or M&A transactions. For 20+ years, this group has executed multiple strategic acquisitions and reinsurance transactions, including block, flow and PRT reinsurance, representing a total of $200B+ of assets to date.This individual is an energetic leader with intellectual curiosity and strong work ethic who takes pride in delivering a high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment.Position OverviewLead overall deal execution across the full transaction lifecycle including pricing and valuation due diligence of potential reinsurance or M&A transactions involving life and annuity blocks of business.Evaluating life and annuity products and product design.Reviewing actuarial experience studies of blocks of business and flow transactions under consideration.Collaborating with the Actuarial team to review actuarial assumptions and make recommendations.Identifying potential risks in transactions, and suggesting sensitivities and mitigating actions.Develop structured solutions that achieve desired client outcomes within the firm’s risk framework.Assessing US statutory and GAAP accounting and valuation models and considerations for subject blocks of business.Participating in negotiating discussions with counterparties.Prepare presentations, communications, and reports on deal progress for wider organizational consumption.Provide integration support for completed deals.Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk and other stakeholders on acquired blocks to measure expected vs. actual outcomes.QualificationsMinimum 7+ years of relevant experience, including life product development, reinsurance, insurance M&A, and valuation/financial reporting.Knowledge of main solutions available for Life and non-Life including sidecar, funded reinsurance, VIF monetization and risk transfers.Strong quantitative and technical abilities, experience in actuarial modeling.Solid organizational skills with the ability to own and see projects to completion.Strong ability to manage and develop junior team members.Strong interpersonal skills and is a team player.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities.Pay TransparencyVarious jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.Our employees are in the office 5 days per week in New York and 4 days per week in all other offices.
