OverviewJoin to apply for the Tax Senior / Assistant Manager / Manager role at TC Professional Services.Location: Rochester, Kent. Full time, permanent. Hybrid working between office and home (following probation).Salary – £35,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Hours – Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (part time hours considered).Holiday – 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), plus 2 days over the Christmas/New Year period set by the firm, plus an additional day for your birthday if it falls on a working day.About the Tax Senior / Assistant Manager / Manager roleWe are TC Group, the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. We have an established tax team in our office in Rochester, Kent and are open to candidates at different levels and to part-time hours. This is a mixed tax role involving advisory work for a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and support to the Directors of the tax team. We are looking for individuals with initiative to develop their careers and provide a first-class service to clients in both compliance and advisory areas.Key responsibilities of a Tax Senior / Assistant Manager / Manager will include:Review and support to the compliance team responsible for the preparation of personal tax returns for a range of clientsReview and support relating to corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts departmentManaging a varied portfolio including planning and advisory projectsPreparation/Review of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRCPreparing/Reviewing ERS and EMI returnsReview of forms P11D & P11D(b) and PSA calculationsAd hoc work relating to capital tax reporting, inheritance tax and Estate workLiaising directly with HMRC in relation to enquiries and investigationsSupporting and mentoring the more junior members of the teamAbout YouWe are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:ATT qualified or CTA qualified5 years’ tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practiceGood tax knowledgeExperience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook; CCH accountancy software would be advantageousStrong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitudeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlinesMotivated team playerFull benefitsGroup life assurance 4 x salaryHybrid working between office and home (following probation)Significant long service awardsAfter 5 years’ service – holiday increasing by one day per year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)Social functions and eventsAccess to our employee benefits portal – cashback and vouchers on everyday purchasesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeEmployee Referral BonusRegular training and development – continuous development and support for professional qualifications and personal goalsAbout UsTC Group is growing rapidly.
