Technical Program Manager III, Data and Technology, Global SustainabilityOverviewAs a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.Prioritize program goals, translate stakeholders’ needs into program goals and deliverables, and contribute to decisions on prioritization.Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.Review key metrics, monitor deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.Identify and collaborate with stakeholders to drive impact, build and maintain dashboards, and support cross-team initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience in program management.Experience developing and delivering enterprise software.Experience managing the software development life cycle.Preferred qualifications5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.Experience delivering data or technical solutions in sustainability, environmental science, or related fields.Ability to learn and understand the technical context of programs, contribute to technical discussions, and lead or influence solution design.Excellent influencing skills with the ability to build cross-functional teams and deliver solutions in changing and ambiguous environments.About the jobGoogle’s Global Sustainability team drives strategy and solutions to enable a more sustainable future. We oversee the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy, including carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.Location and compensationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by location and other factors such as skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Compensation details reflect base salary only; bonus, equity, and benefits are not included here.
