OverviewThe Associate Director of Sales Oil & Propane supports the Vice President in driving strategic initiatives, managing high-impact client relationships, and overseeing critical sales and marketing operations. This role serves as a key bridge between executive leadership and operational teams, helping to align departmental goals with broader business objectives. The Associate Director is instrumental in ensuring consistent revenue growth, market expansion, and operational excellence across the sales and marketing function.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing within the retail industry.Proven track record of successfully leading sales and marketing teams to meet or exceed targets.Strong understanding of retail market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive analysis.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA).Experience: 8–12 years of progressive experience in B2B sales and marketing, ideally within the oil and gas industry.Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.Analytical Mindset: Strong skills in data analysis, forecasting, and market munication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.Technical Acumen: Ability to grasp complex technical products and translate them into customer value.CRM Expertise: Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & ExecutionAssist the VP in formulating and executing sales and marketing strategies.Translate high-level business objectives into actionable plans for regional and product-specific teams.Monitor performance against KPIs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.Team Management & CollaborationLead and mentor regional sales teams, business development managers, and marketing staff.Foster cross-functional collaboration with operations, engineering, and finance departments.Support talent development initiatives, including training, onboarding, and performance reviews.High-Value Client & Stakeholder EngagementManage and grow relationships with key clients, industry partners, and strategic accounts.Represent the VP in executive-level client meetings, negotiations, and industry forums.Ensure delivery of tailored solutions that meet client needs and support long-term partnerships.Sales & Market AnalysisOversee market research initiatives to identify trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities.Analyze regional performance and provide strategic insights to the VP.Identify and assess risks to growth and recommend mitigation strategies.Operational Oversight & Process ImprovementEnsure efficient implementation of CRM systems, lead management processes, and reporting tools.Drive improvements in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and customer engagement metrics.Monitor compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.Executive Reporting & PresentationsPrepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders.Support the VP in board presentations, annual planning, and budget reviews.The required skills enable the Associate Director to design and implement effective sales and marketing strategies that drive business growth. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for managing teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Analytical skills are used daily to interpret market data and customer insights, allowing for informed decision-making and optimization of campaigns.
