OverviewJoin to apply for the Sr Key Account Manager/San Jose role at UCB.We are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) in Rare Diseases who is patient-focused, exceeds sales objectives, and has worked in a complex selling environment to join us in our Rare Syndromes ∙ Epilepsy US team, based in San Jose, California.What you’ll doKeep the marketing & sales objectives and key performance indicators at the forefront for customer segments in the assigned territory. Act decisively and responsively by prioritizing budget allocation to meet territory objectives. Effectively implementing marketing initiatives to achieve sales goals.Exceed sales objectives by implementing marketing initiatives by developing and implementing business plansMaximize impact by leveraging all available data sets and stakeholder inputSeek qualified leads and effectively profile new accounts, refine call planning/routing to optimize schedulesWorking knowledge of the local managed care reimbursementEmphasizes accountability and the highest standard of ethical conduct.Who you’ll work withEffectively collaborate with cross-functional partners (medical, reimbursement support, managed market team, specialty pharmacy, and others) to communicate customer needs and help build and deliver appropriate solutions to meet those needs.Partner with advocacy groups to support patient education and disease state awareness in the local community.QualificationsBachelor's degree BA/BS7+ years of Biotechnology/Biopharmaceutical sales experienceProven, documented track record of delivering consistent sales resultsExperience calling on customers at a variety of call points (academic centers, community-based hospitals and private practice offices) both in person and virtualPreferred Qualifications2 years of rare/orphan drug experience is highly preferred or significant sales experience in CNS/neurosciencePromoting products specific to CNS/neuroscience, including epilepsyNew product launch experienceSpecialty pharmacy/REMS experienceCompensationThe reasonably anticipated base salary range for this position is $137,600 - $180,600 per year.
